Sunday is a call for residents to reflect on the tragic impact that firearms have inflicted on families, friends, neighbors, and communities, a call for citizens to act against gun violence. The purpose of P.E.A.C.E. Sunday is to create greater awareness of the problem of firearms and gun violence in the community. Additionally, P.E.A.C.E. Sunday has been developed to create solidarity among a host of community entities. P.E.A.C.E.
